Think Outside the Box - Guerrilla Marketing for Internet Marketers

Have you heard of "tried and true" IM strategies? These are the ones that every online entrepreneur uses. You have probably heard "the money is in the list"! This, along with website building, are strategies you probably know. For many years, people have written products on how to get targeted traffic to your website to see your offer, or affiliate offers - there are literally thousands of these products. This information, most of the time, is simply a regurgitated version of something someone else already wrote. Sometimes these methods are monotonous, making it even more meaningless to read them. Here are some more creative ways that you can spread the word.

Put the URL of your website on a t-shirt and wear it when you leave the house. Go for a walk, get a soda or some coffee and explore your town - all while wearing the t-shirt. Many times, people will walk right up to you, and ask you about your business, just because they saw the logo on your shirt. While you're out, you can also have people nonchalantly take a pic with their phone and go to your website either on their smart phone or on their computer later on in the day. This allows you to be productive, advertising your business, all the while leisurely walking around and taking a break at the same time. The saying "kill two birds with one stone" is definitely appropriate. Go to various business functions and make a point to make your URL visible. If the event is a more formal one, you can put the URL on your tie or on a pin that you wear. If you are just attending a regular event then you can use your tee shirt or hat. Maybe you can add your URL to a backpack that you own. Place other things that you can use for promotional reasons like pens and notepads. Make yourself visible at this event. You will get this technique to work to perfection if you move around and converse with others.

Make comments with your business logo. What you have to do is produce comments that won't get you titled as a spammer. You have to make your comment relevant to the topic of the post. Be as on topic as possible. Try to include a quote that caught your eye-anything to show that you are a real person using a business account and contributing to the conversation. Try to comment on all types of posts. You never know who might see them and take notice.

Besides, you won't feel limited to one niche, which will make things flow better.

There are a lot of steps that you can take to get the public to see what you have to offer. You don't have to use the same thought process that the rest of your competitors use. Be willing to tweak a few things and see what is really possible. If something does not work, you can just tweak it until it does work. Until you implement your plan, you do not know if it will be successful.
